The more we immerse ourselves in arts and aesthetics the healthier and happier we become.
What is NeuroArts?

Neuroarts is the study of how the arts and aesthetic experiences measurably change the body, brain, and behavior- and how this knowledge is translated into practices that advance health, wellbeing and learning.

Researchers are discovering the arts alter a complex physiological network of interconnected systems—including neural circuitry, circulatory, respiratory, immune and endocrine and psychological – like nothing else.

Our goal is to help people around the world transform their lives through the power of the arts.

“We’re standing on the verge of a cultural shift in which the arts can deliver potent, accessible proven health and well-being solutions to billions
of people.”

Ivy Ross + Susan Magsamen

Ivy and Susan work at the crossroads of arts and sciences, sharing and using the growing body of evidence – from neuroscience, psychology, public health, social sciences, the arts and other fields – that are proving the arts generative impact.
